Understanding Trauma

Active Relaxation ..... Functional Memory .....Toxic Memory ..... Experience Structure  ..... These are but a few of the important terms used to understand and combat the physical and spiritual devastation that can come from trauma and its aftermath.

We are told by the rest of the world that they have had to live with threats of terrorism far longer than we.  Yet haw many countries have, in one split second, lost nearly 3000 of its citizens along with one of its most visible symbols of our culture?  The attacks on America on September 11 were without precedent in contemporary history.  They happened to America in America's homeland.

We will pay a yet unforeseen price for those attacks.  In the months and years to come, subtle and not so subtle pressure will come from the memory of both their attacks and their aftermath.

This little book describes the manner in which we can defend ourselves and our children (physically, psychologically and spiritually) - minimizing the toxic memories arising from September 11.  With a little effort, the thoughtful reader will be able to apply the lessons in this book to many aspects of their lives.

Understanding the dynamics of emotion, perception, choice, action and consequence allows individuals to have maximum possible control over their day to day lives.  These lessons are readily applied to both work and family life.  A special section on dealing with children's problems is included at the completion of the lessons.  America's despair can be neutralized, even though the horror of that day will remain etched upon our minds forever.

This publication will be included free (along with "Medications for the Mind: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly") with the purchase of the Complete Video Program for Fearful Flyers.
